Enon Ridge

Enon Ridge, located just northwest of downtown Birmingham, is included in the Smithfield community along with College Hills, Smithfield, Graymont and East Thomas neighborhoods.

The area is rich with history: During the the 1960s, Reverend Fred Shuttlesworth began his organizing efforts for the civil rights movement out of Old Sardis Baptist Church.

Today, Enon Ridge is a small, quiet residential community with exciting new development. The recently drafted Birmingham Comprehesive Plan calls for a walking trail and park, and construction is underway for new sigle family homes.
